Dr. James Diesfeld received pain management training at the University Of Chicago in conjunction with a Pain fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Diesfeld is a Pain Management specialist with board certification and Diplomate status from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He earned his MD from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his internship at LA County/USC.
He subsequently completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola Medical Center and a fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Diesfeld is a member of several medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Pain Society, and American Society of Anesthesiology.

In 2011, he assumed the role of President of the Medical Staff at Thorek Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, serving a second term in 2012. He has been actively involved in the hospital's governance, participating in the credentials committee and medical executive committee since 2007.
